The resulting fic had to fit a comment, though, so the version I posted there had to be so heavily snipped as to lose half its context - here is the totally full complete uber version in all its shameless glory. Some notes:
- It's just my head canon, but I imagine the schools in Nibelheim would be very, uh... conservative when it came to biology classes. Principally when the topic was reproduction. If they even taught that. Or if there were even schools and everyone wasn't just homeschooled.
- I also imagine Mr. Lockheart, as the paranoid and overprotective father he was implied to be, would not want anything in the world to contradict those very very conservatives lessons (that may or may not have taken place) anywhere close to Tifa's hearing and/or sight.
- I imagine Tifa had enough common sense to know better... but only to the limited extent that lack of experience, actual or relayed, would allow. Which means she might probably not recognize certain "signs".
And the prompt I both submitted and wrote for: Cloud/Tifa, teenage sex - she found daddy's liquor stash and...

Notes: People who've been around my lj for a while know of my fascination with the idea of Tifa being in Midgar before Nibelheim goes toast, when most everyone's in their teens. This fic is one of those. Tifa's dad moved to Midgar for reasons that are entirely up to you (read: I didn't care to make one up), and she and Cloud have met and gotten reacquainted before the story starts.
This fic was inspired by the trend I noticed of making Zack, or sometimes Seph, some sort of god of sex who could make any wrong right by wriggling his eyebrows and making hot sweaty lovin' to his sometimes uncertain, sometimes all the more willing partner - usually a rather ukeish Cloud. I thought to myself - what if the positions were inverted? What if Cloud was the one who could make amazingsome sex? Sex for him would certainly be all about the giving. The challenge of this fic was making Cloud a mystical sex god without making him become a completely different person. Don't worry, he doesn't become some weird sort of "uber seme" here... actually it ended up veering completely sideways from the top/bottom scale.

artimusdin - here goes!Finally posting my first roads_diverged entry here - it kind of turned into an extended AU, so it makes sense. I've kind of decided to post my fics in IJ only, from now on, since most of my LJ friends aren't much into fanfic anyway, even if they are into anime and games. I'll still crosspost most anything else; but fanfics will probably be kept here, principally if they grow extra heads like this one (or get embarassingly pornish like other ones).
As I said, this was an entry into the roads_diverged AU challenge, specifically the "what if" theme. A conversation in the comments spurred extra plot-bunnies, thanks to artimusdin, and it has now been dubbed the Idolverse; this would be its "prelude".

Cloud's special brand of luck puts him in a position to witness a hideous crime - hideous enough that his mind does the warp thing and refuses to remember it. Unfortunately, the five chairmen have a special interest in this case, as it involves a failed experiment only the five of them would have access to... or so the author claims. Anyway, Zack has to watch over the nutcase and keep him out of he spotlight till he's able to tell what he saw, as someone out there is definitely trying to off him; but he has to protect Cloud and make it look like he's living normally at the same time. Cue much quirkiness from Cloud and many attempts on his poor life.

Crack AU with bits of angst and a very confused Zack who'd really like to be somewhere else. It's horribly hard to write, simply because the concept is pretty fairy-taleish, but I have to write the characters as mighty serious about it; Zack, for once in all the fics I've ever seen, is completely out of the loop and has no control over the situation. Not only that but, at first, his feelings aren't in it at all, so he's very half-hearted so far. In fact, as far as he knows, he only got involved because he went skirt-chasing, so he feels like he's being sort of punished. XD;
And... that's pretty much it. Can't say a lot because this fic relies HEAVILY on misconceptions. :3

Basically, this is an epic that was supposed to follow Zack as he assembled a really cool team, met Cloud, went through many missions, got involved in stuff, Nibelheim, etcetcetc. I'm heavily tempted to meld it with the WatC universe, though, as WatC is going a lot better right now, and if I followed this fic's timeline it'd take me something like 10 chapters till I got to write Cloud for real. Writing Zack only tires me; it's a lot more enjoyable to write him and Cloud bouncing words off each other.

Unintentional LOL in the middle of a Princess Tutu fic. This one's actually full of them, but that one takes the cake... so far.
It's dialogue-heavy and encompasses all of a single morning, but there's lots of Cloud and even Rude in it. Yep, Rude, and he was a bitch to write. Actually, it was his fault I was stuck in this chapter for weeks. Anyway, enjoy!
And I need to do a header post for this fic, too. Guess I'll just put links to all my multi-chapter fics in the same post... hm.
Anyway, here be Witness and the Crime, chapter 2 of who knows how many. As always, con-crit is welcome and etc.
Still, this fic is all about him for a change - he's the McGuffin as well as one of the mains. The story is basically a mystery, a "Whodunnit", and though the culprit is sort of obvious if you put your mind to it, I'm hoping to make people rip their hair out as they try to figure out the how and why of the crime, and to surprise everyone in the end.
Basically, Cloud is the sole witness of a crime that has the Board of Directors with their hair raised because of its circumstances, and Zack is asked to be his bodyguard while they fight against the public danger that is Cloud's traumatized mind.
Anyway, this chapter is still sort of raw and I'd like some con-crit on it. And of course comments!
PS: The title is totally temporary and I'd love suggestions for better ones! Chapter titles too.
PPS: BC Turk warning. "Millene" is one of the Before Crisis Turks. In my mind she's Female Shotgun Turk, but she could be anyone, really. She's just there because I wanted to separate Reno and Rude, for a change.
PPPS: Excessive Exposition Warning!
He's just... so CUTE. All "I have to protect Naminé!! Wait, I'm a replica! BUT I STILL WANT TO!" *makes a charm out of a meatball* And it killed me.
It also bunnied me.
This one is horribly confusing and has way too much information, so I'd appreciate any constructive criticism on how to make it roll better :x It's also shorter than the previous chapter.

Totally wrote this all in one go. The whole plot sort of came to my mind about 24 hours ago after lying awake the whole night through when I was dead tired and wanting to sleep. I thought it up, thought other stories and fics up, gave up on sleeping, took a bath, washed my hair, laid back down for a second and fell asleep. Woke up 6pm, read stuff, browsed randomly, read some CCSakura, started writing and now, 6am, it's totally done. Except not betaed, so just inform me of any garbage my sleep-addled mind may have spouted. There's also some weird verb tenses, I'm not sure if they even make sense... help?
I've found out I have a special fondness for pre-NibelheimBarbecue fics, and principally pre-NibelheimBarbecue Cloud. And I think pre-NB Tifa would be pretty cool to write about, too, except how do you go about writing her when she lives in another continent, and Cloud canonically would never step in Nibelheim or show his face to her out of a SOLDIER uniform? You make up some half-baked reason why she'd be in Midgar, of course. So that's what I did. I think it's sorta cheap, but ohwell.
Basically, Tifa stumbled into him when he was wearing his uniform but helmetless, as he seems wont to do in Before Crisis, then sort of dragged him home to show her father, and he took to hanging out at her apartment using the pathetic excuse that he missed home. Then stuff happened and they became a couple. So this takes us to this fic.
This fic = no real plot. Just Cloud's fascinating thought processes as he jumps between one thing and the other and then comes back to the first thing, and guilts a lot, then shows some weird sense of humor, all with lots of awkward pauses. Then there's fluff and the closest I ever got to writing sex. (If anyone wants to pick the scene up, I don't mind :3)
