My website, recoded from scratch ;Dd how is it?

By the way, man, it's been raining for like 3 days non-stop.

Two things:

1 - I'm receiving way too many spam comments in my main website. Usually the messages say "cooool domain name (www.fanelorn.net)! )))" or some variation thereof, and 9 times out of 10 they have a bunch of )))s. When it's not that, it's "I can't understand how to add your site (and here they paste my domain address again) to my rss feed" even though the rss button is alone and highly visible in a corner. And all comments have a "---------- my site/signature/my blog: somesitename.ru" in the end. Seriously, bots, lay off my site.

2 - My left eye is blurry. I mean, when I look at something through my left eye, it's blurry and I can't focus. Hmmm.

Anyway, I also drew a bunch of doodles today, and they're all up in my site as always.

My connection's been completely wonky since yesterday *sigh* Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

In order to not be completely bored in the event of total internet loss, I did something I've meant to do for a while and saved a bunch of reference pics from art sites (namely, characterdesign.com) to use as, well, reference, and train some realistic-ish shading techniques in photoshop. Even today I got to put some downtime to use by making two shading studies that I managed to upload to my site right before the connection went to pot again. I haven't felt very confident in my skills lately, and other than my webcomics I haven't done much of anything in the way of art for a while - so the intention behind this exercise is to rectify these problems, I guess. Browsing the conceptart forums the other day can't have helped my feeling of inadequacy much, either...

Now, I'm going to try and post this entry before the connection goes poof again. Ta-ta!

So, after installing wordpress to publish my two webcomics, I finally decided to scrap the clean-looking but impractical design on my main gallery/website and slap some wordpress in it as well.

The results are encouraging, but let me tell you, uploading all my images all over again is being a bitch. At least I can now finally add descriptions and notes to my drawings without the whole page going wonky at me!

It's only got an index, a profile page and a botched php gallery right now, but it's looking good ;D It did shave off the greater part of my birthday money, though.
